You do not have to take part in appraisals, KPIs or “Where would you like to be in 5 years time?”.
You do not have to work overtime, you’re too expensive for that.
If you have a family and responsibilities then to send you somewhere (like I did crossin g over into South Carolina from London) costs them about £300 on top of the air fare / transport costs and hotel).
So they only send you when you are ABSOLUTELY necessary and you get compensated for having your life temporarily turned upside down.
As a Freelancer you play the greedy company against your own greed.
Do not fall for all those promises of we will train you in this, that and the other.
They never do.
and quite frankly, that is what you should be doing …
